Just a reminder that Veteran’s Day is Tuesday, Nov. 11th, and we will not have school on this day.

RUBIO’S DINNER NIGHT
Please join us for Family Dinner Night at Rubio’s on Wednesday, November 12, from 2pm-9pm. Rubio’s gives 20% of the proceeds back to the Willow Grove Educational Foundation. Please bring your Rubio’s flyer and we hope to see you there! The Rubio’s flyer is attached to this Connect Ed.

Are you wondering what the GREEN ribbons are around the school? They are reminders about our efforts to raise money for the Grizzly Growth Fund, our Educational Foundation's annual giving campaign. We are so grateful to the Donald C. and Elizabeth M. Dickinson Foundation--they have graciously offered to match any donations made in the month of November! Thank you to those who have donated. To the rest of our Willow Grove community, every donation counts, every dollar makes a difference and every effort is appreciated!
DOES YOUR EMPLOYER MATCH CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS?
Have you checked to see if your employer matches charitable contributions? If so, your donation to the Willow Grove Educational Foundation Donation can be doubled! It is easy to find out: go to http://www.matchinggift.com/powayusd/ and enter the name of your company to see if it participates. If so, please contact your local Human Resources department to initiate the matching request.
BOOK TALK
Congratulations, Cali Stainbrook! Cali is the next guest during our morning announcement Book Talk. We look forward to hearing her book review on November 19th. If you want to be a guest speaker on Book Talk we are still accepting entries, drop them off in the office. If you have already entered, we still have your name in the “hat” and will have Cali pull our next winner.
PARENT LUNCH
Mark your calendars for our Parent Lunch that will be on Friday, Dec. 5th. Bring a picnic blanket and have lunch with your child during their lunchtime. Come join in the fun! We will be having our first round of Paw Tile imprints done at this time as well. There is still time to purchase tiles for your Grizzly.
FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT
The annual Willow Grove Educational Foundation Golf Tournament is just a week away! There are a few dinner tickets and golf spots available. Don’t miss out, buy them today! If you can’t make it to the event, there are other ways to participate. A limited amount of raffle tickets are available for over 30 fabulous items, including: two sets of TaylorMade clubs, an Xbox One, a night at Rancho Valencia and much much more. If you would like an opportunity to win up to $2,500, now's your chance! We are anxiously awaiting our famous Helicopter Drop. Forms will be coming home this week for a friendly challenge among the classes. The class that turns in the most forms will win a donut party to celebrate. Please complete the form out and return them to your child's teacher. The Foundation would like to thank Eye Gallery and Carmel Mountain Financial for supporting the spectacular Helicopter Drop. Lastly, the Foundation is in need of volunteers for the day of the Golf Tournament. Please email WGEFgolf@gmail.com if you are interested in helping. VARIETY SHOW APPLICANTS!
A reminder to all parents of performers: music CDs and lyrics for all performances are due in the Variety Show bin located at the school front office by Friday, November 14. Guidelines for submitting these items can be found in the application packet and attached to this Connect Ed.
